Sadler Health Center in Hampden Township has opened a new vision care center.
The vision care center opened at the facility at 5210 E. Trindle Road last week. The practice is now accepting patient appointments.
The center will provide eye exams, diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions, and a wide selection of low-cost eyewear. All insurance plans are accepted, and patients do not need to be Sadler Health medical patients to receive vision care services.

“Offering vision care services is one more way we are making Sadler’s new West Shore location a one-stop-shop for care,” Manal El Harrak, CEO of Sadler Health Center, said in a news release. “With primary care, dental care, behavioral health care, lab services, a pharmacy and vision care all under one roof, healthcare for patients on the West Shore will be more convenient than ever.”
Sadler Health Center, opened the new facility in December. The primary care portion of the new health center opened to patients at that time.
As a federally qualified health center, Sadler offers patients a sliding-scale discount program, which offers reduced costs for services based on household size and income.
“Based on a community health needs assessment we conducted in 2019, over 88 percent of low-income individuals in Cumberland County do not have access to healthcare or are underserved,” El Harrak said. “Sadler Health’s mission is to provide affordable, accessible healthcare for everyone regardless of their income or insurance status.”
Sadler Health is partnering with Dr. Julian Procope of Horizon Eye Care Group P.C. to provide vision care services.

In addition to vision care services, Sadler Health’s West Shore health center has 23 exam rooms and eight dental suites. Patients can get lab tests and soon will be able to fill prescriptions at the center too. Later this year, an urgent care center will also open at the facility.
Sadler Health’s new West Shore health center is its third location. Sadler also has a health center at in Carlisle and a dental office in Tyrone Township, Perry County near Loysville.
