CARLISLE, PA – Sadler Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center providing community-based comprehensive primary care, dental care, behavioral health and support services at its centers in downtown Carlisle and Loysville, announced the appointment of Melissa Karlheim, to its team of providers.
Melissa is joining Sadler Health Center as a Dietitian at Sadler’s Carlisle location, a new position that has recently been added. “Melissa comes to Sadler with great experience and a mission to improve the health of the communities that Sadler serves,” says Katrina Thoma, Sadler’s Director of Medical Services. “The Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RDN) plays a critical role as an integral part of the patient’s Health Care Team. It is well within the scope of the RDN to provide education and counseling for all of the barriers to a healthy diet.”
Melissa was born in Frederick, Maryland and grew up in Fairfield, Pennsylvania. She graduated in 2020 from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences. She then earned her Master of Health Science from Cedar Crest College in May of 2023. Previously, Melissa worked as a registered dietitian for SeniorLIFE in Harrisburg. She now lives in Mechanicsburg and recently got engaged in May.
“I was inspired by Sadler’s mission and everything they do for the community,” said Melissa. “I am really looking forward to making a difference and building a relationship with my patients.”
