CARLISLE, Pa. (Nov. 27, 2024) – Sadler Health Center announced its participation in GivingTuesday on Dec. 3, a day of generosity dedicated to rallying community support and ensuring access to care for those who cannot afford health insurance.
GivingTuesday, a global day of giving held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, is a chance for the community to come together and make a meaningful impact. This year, Sadler is aiming to raise funds to support self-pay patients – individuals and families without health insurance who contribute what they can toward their care.
Sadler Health Center provides health care services to those who are fully insured, underinsured and uninsured. For many in Cumberland and Perry counties, Sadler serves as a vital lifeline. By offering sliding fee scale discounts based on household size and income, those who would otherwise struggle to get care have access to medical, dental, vision, behavioral health, pharmacy services and more. With more than 58,000 low-income residents in our region and 75 percent of them facing challenges to find a primary care provider, Sadler’s mission is more critical than ever.
“Sadler is here to provide comprehensive, affordable and compassionate care to individuals and families in our community,” Sadler Health Center CEO Manal El Harrak said. “Offering essential health services to those without insurance is a core part of our mission to ensure that everyone who comes through our doors, regardless of their circumstances, has access to the care they need. This GivingTuesday, your support can truly make a difference and help us create a stronger, healthier community.”
